Following Tito Vilanova’s resignation to focus on his health, Barça have announced that they have reached an agreement with Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino to sign as new Barça coach for the next two years.
This would be the point where we would offer you a concise, witty preview of what we could expect from our new coach this season, but given that I only was made aware of Tata Martino’s existence two days ago, I can’t tell you anything that Wikipedia can’t tell you better. If you do follow Argentine football, and aren’t one of the “experts” recently hatched from YouTube highlight videos, please share your wisdom with us in the comments.
Anyway, it’s time to put away our differences, agree that if Man Utd offer us 40 million pounds for Cesc we should let him go, and stand behind our new coach as he tries to make sense of a team where there are no defenders, what defenders do exist like to pretend they’re strikers, and everyone is a midfielder until proven a right-back.
Best of luck, Tata!
